Paul Splittorff had a strong finish to 1975 and an even more impressive debut to 1976. Splittorff scattered six hits and walked none as the Royals completed a three-game sweep of the Rangers in Arlington. In the majors only other contest Randy Moffitt blew his 3rd save of the season in as many opportunities as the Braves downed the Giants evening both teams marks at 2-2.
