-The Dodgers hand the Giants their 100^th defeat of the season. Burt Hooton (13-15, 3.34) had the win and Al Downing (9Sv, 3.77) has earned saves on consecutive days.

-Nolan Ryan (21-9, 2.93) wins again and Ken Boswell (3HR) and Craig Reynolds (4HR) provided surprising power as the Astros earn their 102^nd win.
