Oscar Gamble (41), Gorman Thomas (43) and former Orioles John Lowenstein (17) all went deep for Cleveland

-Frank Taveras (.264 51SB) had two steals and Woodie Fryman (6-5, 3.83) earned the win for the Expos

-The Braves ended the Reds chances of repeating as NL West champs on Monday and end their chances at winning 100 games today. John Montefusco (12-15, 3.09) only allowed George Foster’s (34HR) fourth home run in two days in the complete game win.
San Francisco 1 at Los Angeles 4
-The Dodgers hand the Giants their 100th defeat of the season. Burt Hooton (13-15, 3.34) had the win and Al Downing (9Sv, 3.77) has earned saves on consecutive days.
Houston 9 at San Diego 4
-Nolan Ryan (21-9, 2.93) wins again and Ken Boswell (3HR) and Craig Reynolds (4HR) provided surprising power as the Astros earn their 102nd win.
