American League
Baltimore 5 at Chicago 6
-Yesterday Bobby Grich and Tommy Harper homered in a 9th inning Oriole rally, today they were at it again as Harper doubled home Grich with two out in the 9th to tie it. Cleveland 17 at Minnesota 4
-The misery at the Met continues for the Twins as Mike Wiley (4-6, 5.29) and Ray Corbin (7.62) absorb the brunt of the damage. Oscar Gamble drove in five and Ray Fosse knocked in four for the Tribe. Cleveland sits in 4th place but are just four games out in the East.

New York 4 at Oakland 3
-Lenny Randle (4) and Sandy Alomar (3) homered as the Yankees receive power from unlikely sources to pick up a game on the Orioles in the East. The A’s had a chance to leapfrog the Royals and tie the Angels atop the AL West
