-The Red Sox score two in the 9^th and four in the 10^th to complete a four game sweep at The Met. Skip Lockwood (6-5, 2.29) followed up his two saves in as many days with two shutout innings of relief and an RBI single in the 10^th for the win.
Baltimore 4 at Kansas City 5
-The Royals win four straight one-run decisions over the Orioles in this potential ALCS preview. Frank White’s 14^th home run of the season was a grand slam in the 3^rd off Jim Palmer (14-11, 3.25).

-Four Cleveland errors enable the Rangers to rally from 6-1 down to win in extras. Darrell Porter scored the tying run in the 9^th on a Duane Kuiper error and drove home the winning run in the 10th

-Danny Thomas’s two-out single in the 9^th drove in Robin Yount for the go-ahead run as the Brewers nip the A’s in Oakland
