-Another day – another blown lead by the Giants. The Padres tie it in the 9^th and win it in the 13^th as Joe McInosh (2-0, 1.38) pitches the final five innings for San Diego.

- Lee May does it again – an RBI single in the 9^th to up the 1^st place Orioles to 7-0 at home

- The Tigers break their 10 game slide thanks to 8 strong innings from Jack Billingham (1-2, 2.96)

- Larry Hisle (3), Dan Ford (3) and Eric Soderholm (5) all go deep in the victory
